He speaks respectable English and is easily understood. I am also amazed on the routes & backroads he takes during our trip around Bali to Ubud, Lovina, Kintamani etc. He also shares his knowledge not only on the areas we visited but the way of life and cultures / norms practiced in Bali.
Most importantly, as safety is a concern especially when travelling with young children, is that he is a safe & careful driver. He drives well within the speed limits, keeps his distance from car / motorbike in front and uses his turn signals all the time - something quite rare in Asia!
I have found Pak Mumung to be a gentleman, patient and caring driver one can find. He's also happy with kids around him, as evidenced especially by my shy toddler's affection for him. He takes the extra mile with them carrying my tiring toddler around during long walks ie @ Gigit waterfall & Goa Gajah.
He can also provide recommendation on the attractions, and routes to take to make the most out of the trip.
Rates are the standard going fare in Bali : IDR400K whole day & IDR250 half day inclusive of fuel, parking etc.
Would highly recommend giving him an opportunity to show you the beautiful island of Bali in a relaxed and safe manner!
